About the Teacher

Joanna has been teaching Joseph Pilates' traditional method of corrective movement (classical Pilates) for over 25 years. She has studied the Pilates method with Amy Taylor Alpers, Rachel Taylor Segel and Debora Kolwey at The Pilates Center in Boulder, CO. She also holds a designation of a Nationally Certified Pilates Teacher. Joanna is a 3rd generation teachers' teacher, a business owner, and a triathlete. In addition to teaching thousands of hours of classical Pilates to others, she practices it regularly. Consistent practice of the classical Pilates system of mindful movements has transformed her body and mind over the years into physically stronger and mentally sharper. She moves through everyday life activities with more ease and a positive attitude. Her transformation led her to take on athletic goals. She is an avid skier and has completed numerous triathlons since 2012, including 4 Ironman competitions and 2 marathons. Â
