Move to Heal Your Lower Body
One of the universal exercises in the classical Pilates repertoire that addresses hip and knee discomfort or pain is called Sidekicks.
It is a set of exercises that, when done correctly, strengthen weak buttock and leg muscles as well as improve flexibility of the hip and knee joints.
By practicing Sidekicks you will significantly improve the overall health of your lower body.
Be sure to warm up first with at least the beginner Mat sequence. If you need a refresher, find my step-by-step video here inside my YouTube channel. https://youtu.be/7kiPxMupfH8
And then add Sidekicks.
Here is how to practice:
When your hips and knees feel better, your quality of life improves because everyday movements get easier. You can get out of bed without feeling stiffness in your hip or knee joints, walk up and down the stairs, get down on the floor, get up off the floor, not to mention improving your athletic endeavors such as walking, running or biking.
Happy Pilates:)
