To ensure that you can stabilize your shoulder joints and perform the movements safely follow these guidelines:
- No matter your fitness level, use only up to 2-pound weights.
- If necessary, start with holding 1-pound weights
- Use your common sense and add holding weights gradually to your workout so as not to create stress on your shoulder joints and muscles
