Ā Ā Ā Ā Remember to Remember
Every time you walk into the studio, whether itās your first lesson or your hundredth, thereās something you must bring with youānot just your body, but your awareness.
Pilates is a practice of remembering.
We must REMEMBER to FORGET our old habitsāthe ones that feel natural but donāt serve us. If we donāt, we inevitably fall back into them. We must remember that we *easily forget* how to move correctly. And when we forget, we fall into the trap of repeating our mistakesāinitiating movement from the wrong places, using muscles that shouldnāt be leading, reinforcing patterns that we have been working so hard to undo.
This is why every lesson you take, and every home workout you do, matter. Each time you step onto the mat or the apparatus, itās an opportunity to reconnect with the principles, to remind your body of what it is truly capable of. Itās not about doing more, trying harder, or moving biggerāitās about moving *better*. With control. With precision. With awareness.
Some days, the work feels seamless, while on other days, it feels like you are starting from scratch.
Thatās normal.
Thatās the process.
What matters is that you keep showing up, remembering, and trusting that each lesson is another step toward positive lasting change.
So the next time you walk into the studio or roll out your mat at home, pause for a moment. Take a breath. And rememberābecause when you do, your movements will transform the way you walk, sit, stand, and live your life.
