Pilates is my way of life and I want to share with you how it can be yours too. Joanna Telacka
Hi! I have been teaching Joseph Pilates' traditional method of corrective movement (classical Pilates) for over 25 years. I've studied the Pilates method with Amy Taylor Alpers, Rachel Taylor Segel and Debora Kolwey at The Pilates Center in Boulder, CO and practice in New York City. I hold a designation of a Nationally Certified Pilates Teacher. Because I studied with The Taylor Sisters ( Amy and Rachel) who received their Pilates education from Romana Kryzanowska, I am, what is  called a 3rd generation teacher. In addition to owning a Pilates studio since 2000, I am a teacher's teacher, educating future Pilates teachers in the art of teaching classical Pilates one at a time. In addition to teaching thousands of hours of classical Pilates to others, I practice it regularly. It is the consistent practice of the method that helped me develop and now continue nurturing my body awarness. Thanks to Pilates, I have transformed my  body and my mind, over the years, into physically stronger and mentally sharper. Practicing Pilates helps me move through everyday life activities with more ease and a positive attitude. But my transformation has not stopped there. I love to ski, swim, bike and run and have completed numerous triathlons since 2012, including 4 Ironman competitions and 2 marathons. Pilates is my way of life and I hope that it will become yours too. :)
